We've put together a handy list of recommendations ... in a new 'collection' called "Wine Lovers Love..." inspired by the Vivino rating system:
VIVINO - proceed with caution ;)
Just like any crowd-sourced rating system (i.e.; TripAdvisor) there are flaws and considerations.
For example, what you LOVE about a fresh lively white might be too 'tart' for someone else; what you think tastes enjoyably rich and complex could be a great FOOD-PAIRING wine that others dislike when tasted without food; or it might just get a low rating due to how the average is calculated with a small sample size.
That last point is especially true when a wine is quite rare, as it may not have enough reviews to give a fair indication of general appeal (remember wine is notoriously subjective) - but as the community grows so too does the accuracy of the ratings.
