There are many names for this style of wines - orange, amber, extended skin contact whites - but they all share a few key characteristics.
The time the juice spends macerating with the skins adds colour but also tannins (that means healthy anti-oxidants) so expect a bigger structure and texture compared to a 'white' wine made from the same grapes. Also, expect some pleasant 'bitter' notes from those skins but also sometimes the seeds, as well as more floral aromatics. Honeysuckle is a common aroma in these delicious wines.
