Just like any crowd-sourced rating system (i.e.; TripAdvisor) there are flaws - especially when a wine is quite rare, so may have very few reviews to give a fair indication of general appeal (remember wine is notoriously subjective) - but as the community grows so too does the accuracy of the ratings.
