Full Body, Dry (Aglianico - late harvest). DOC from Molise.
Rich and powerful that develops in your glass, with a long, lingering finish.
TASTING NOTES: Bursting with dark berry flavours and notes of cacao, smokey black pepper, cedar and burnt caramel, plus the minerality typical of volcanic soil wines, try this with a rich dish.
FYI: Aglianico is known as the Barolo of the South for its ageing potential and this late harvest 2008 beauty, from husband and wife team, certainly testifies to that. Enjoy it now and put a bottle away for a few years!
WINERY NOTES: "This wine is obtained by the late harvest of Aglianico grapes. The slow aging in steel and the passage in wood casks led to a very special version of this grape variety, characterized by high longevity. Its tannins are unmistakable, well balanced by soft, warm alcoholic note and elegant spiciness."
